There are people who find their calling, and there are people whose calling finds them, arriving not through deliberate seeking but through dreams, through voices that surface under full moons, through moments when something deeper than the reasoning mind speaks with unexpected clarity and will not be refused.
I am the second kind.
For fifteen years I worked in the corporate world of information technology, in the logical and strategic and measurable, and while that world had its own rigour and value, something underneath was always listening for a different frequency. When the voice finally came, standing under a full moon in Avalon, it told me I was meant to be an astrologer. I resisted it at first, felt the strangeness of it, the sheer improbability. Eventually I could not ignore it any longer, and I followed it, and everything that has grown since has grown from that moment of surrender.
I work at the intersection of astrology, psychosynthesis, embodiment, and sound, not as separate disciplines but as one living practice in service of a single question that runs beneath all the rest: what is actually true for this person, beneath everything they have been taught to believe about themselves?
Underlying all of it is a lifelong devotion to sacred geometry, to what one of my teachers calls the art of the ever true. There is something deeply orienting in the study of pattern, in the recognition that the same fundamental structures organise the growth of a plant, the movement of the planets, the proportions of the human body, the architecture of a medieval cathedral. To understand pattern is to find yourself less lost in the world, more at home in its deepest logic.
My approach is relational and symbolic, psychological and spiritual. I read the language the cosmos is speaking to your particular life, working with the natal chart as a map of soul, with transits as timing and invitation, with the body as the place where meaning finally lands and becomes real. I have been a student of these mysteries for over two decades, and the work continues to deepen in ways I could not have anticipated when I began.
The name Black Cygnet Praxis came the same way the vocation did, through the other door, through a kind of knowing that arrived whole rather than reasoned toward. A black cygnet carries the nature of the rare and the unexpected, not yet fully fledged, still in the process of becoming. Praxis because this is not philosophy held at a comfortable distance. It is knowledge that moves through practice, through the body, through years of direct encounter with what is most real and most hidden in a human life.
I work with individuals around the world: executives and leaders, entrepreneurs, creatives, and those who find themselves at genuine thresholds, ready to live from a deeper register of their own truth.
If something in you recognises this, I would be honoured to meet you there..
